Wide-leg pants are a nice option for Summer if you must wear pants because the loose style allows air to flow more than fitted pants. I often tell clients to balance the flow of wide legs with a more fitted top such as a bodysuit... but what if you don't enjoy fitted tops? Here are 3 tips to make your wide-leg pants look great.
Pair a white short-sleeve button-down with the pants but be sure to tuck the top (or at least tuck one side) to define a waist area.
Make sure the shoes are "strong" enough to balance the visual weight of the wide-leg cut. Strappy little thong flip-flops will get lost in the look. Instead, opt for a chunky on-trend platform slide.
Remember to accessorize which draws the eye back up from the standout silhouette on the pants.
